Before approving members into our Facebook group, we scan ALL profiles. As soon as a request to join the group is received, we look over all content to catch any signs of fake accounts. We look for many factors that may raise a red flag. If we suspect a scammer, the membership is immediately declined and banned.
Once a seller is approved to join the group, the next step of the process is to verify the seller. The seller is prompted/required to message an admin to complete this process. We will ask for accounts, proof, and other personal info to make sure the account and tickets are legitimate.
Once a seller is verified, they are given a group expert badge and then added to the verified list under the "featured" tab in the group. This helps buyers better identify who is safe to buy from and who is not.
Once the season is in progress and posts / comments are flowing, admins and moderators are continuously monitoring the group to make sure sellers aren't posting without being verified & everything is running smoothly.
OUR GOAL IS TO PREVENT ALL SCAMS WITHIN THE GROUP. ALTHOUGH WE STAY VIGILANT AND CAUTIOUS, SCAMS CAN STILL HAPPEN. BEING SCAM FREE IS NOT ALWAYS A 100% GUARANTEE. IF WE HOLD EACH OTHER ACCOUNTABLE AND WATCH OVER ONE ANOTHER, WE CAN PREVENT ALL SCAMS AMONGST THE UGA TICKET COMMUNITY. IT STARTS HERE! GO DAWGS!
